  I've had a GS605 for quite a while now but recently I've noticed that in W7 Network and Sharing Centre/Local Area Connection/General/Speed it's showing as 100 Mbps and not the full Gigabit I've previously enjoyed. However, turning off the switch at the mains and then turning it back on again seems to cure it for a while then the network speed drops back to 100 Mbps. Any thoughts?

  "Definitely the electrolytic caps on the board.
  1.Remove the 4 small philips screws hidden under the rubber feet - then with care, using pliers - literally pull the two bluging caps off the board vertically without damaging the surrounding parts.
  2.Carefully desolder the two legs left behind from each capacitor
  3.and replace with like sized parts (I used 100uF/16V if I recall).
