"Dear Zsolt,Microsoft contracted with us, Intrepid Consultants, Inc, to conduct the TechNet Plus Pilot Study program research and manage the activities of the pilot study. Our records show that you have recently signed up for a free TechNet Plus subscription through a registration link that was made available without authorization on a public blog.
The registration link is part of a proprietary study and the party that shared the information was in violation of the terms and conditions to which they agreed to participate in the study. Membership to the Pilot study is limited and all members of the program are required to first meet survey requirements and then complete tasks and assignments over a two month period in order to qualify for and have access to the free TechNet Plus subscription. Since this was a privately conducted pilot study, at no time was it ever intended that a free TechNet Plus registration link would appear on a public internet site, which was done in violation of the terms to which participants agreed upon registering to participate in the pilot study.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but for this reason, we have deactivated your subscription, as well as all other subscriptions resulting from the unauthorized publication of the TechNet Plus Pilot Study program registration link on a public blog. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

FINAL UPDATE (06/12/2009 9:30 AM EST):
I have contacted Microsoft TechNet Customer Service and there is still no estimated time on an official statement from the company, however several people that I have been in contact with have contacted Microsoft Public Relations in regards to this matter and are waiting to hear back from them.
The following message seems to be getting sent out to anyone who has inquired about this issue via email:

The TechNet Plus team ran a survey program, for someone to get a free TechNet Plus Subscription as part of the program, he/she had to participate in an initial survey. Only participants of the survey program are entitled to a free TechNet Plus subscription. Those participants are not only participating in the initial survey, but also in several other surveys throughout the subscription year. The subscription is given to those participants in exchange for their assistance in this program, and only these persons are entitled to a free subscription.
If you are not part of a survey program then you are not entitled to use this free subscription, to enable us to resolve your issues with the pilot scheme, please issue us with proof that you are part of the above scheme.
We would like to assure you that we are doing all we can to ensure this issue is resolved shortly.We thank you for your patience.
For those of you who are interested in the legal aspect of this, after reading through some terms and conditions I found the following clause:
11. Promotions.
No promotion (e.g., special price discount) is offered by Microsoft unless the promotion explicitly so states. You agree that offers from non-Microsoft companies on the Site are solely liable for their promotions and that Microsoft is not liable. You also agree to comply with all terms of a promotion. Note: some promotions will be subject to quantity and other restrictions, including without limitation, time limits that could expire during your visit to the Site. UPDATE (06/08/2009 8:49 AM EST): I have spoken with Microsoft TechNet Customer Service and as it stands there is no new information at this time, the situation remains the same as when I last spoke with them. There is still no ETA on any sort of public announcement regarding the situation.

Hát nem vágom... Most csináltam ugyanarra a címre újra a LiveID-t, mintha nem is lett volna megcsinálva rá, megerősítés is kellett. Szal nem tudom, de valami nagyon nem klappol az ms-nél... Srác is kicsit ki volt akadva, hogy ez miért van, és nem nagyon tudtam rá mit mondani...

Hm, érdekesség, ha már LiveID törlés, egyik havernak nem rég reggeltem gmail-es címre netpassportot MSN-hez, és ma hívott, hogy nem tud bejelentkezni MSN-re. Megpróbáltam, hogy netpassport oldalra betudok e jelentkezni vele, és oda sem. Nemvolt Technet-re sem használva, sehova, mégis lehet törölték, na ez hogy van

Fene se tudja, hogy mit tehetnek meg, és mit nem. Sztem nagyon jól tudják ők is, hogy ténylegesen ki az, aki US, UK, Canada, meg ugye akkor asszem Ausztráliai részről reggelt, és ki az, aki nem...
Ugye figyelmeztető mail-t nem küldenek, meg minek küldjenek, úgysem szüntetné meg senki a hozzáférését, mert hát miért, ha már reggelt, utána meg fel van háborodva x y illető, ha mégis törlik. Mondjuk amúgy igaz, tény, hogy elég nagy szívás, ha törlik, de ugye itt jön elő az, hogy nem csak MSN-hez jó a LiveID....

moonman: az ellen nem emeltem szót, hogy kidobtak a technetről, nade azért nem kellene az msn címet törölni..
Mellesleg nem vagánykodtam, mert nem töröltek, meg angolul sem tudok, de azért az eléggé kellemetlenül érintene, és meg azért nem köszönném. Mellesleg ha jó tudom SymbianOS egyetlen kulcsot sem tudott szerezni. Akkor mivel magyarázod, hogy törölték a LiveID-t is neki? -

Várjál csak nehogy válaszoljanak! Nekem válaszolt egy kísérleti cpu hűtőt gyártó cég, a hűtése leszerepelt, pedig annyira vártam már egy éve, én rájuk írtam, hogy nagyon sajnálom pedig annyira bíztató volt a hűtési elv. Visszaírtak hogy hol olvastam és a cikk amit olvastam mit takart, meg köszönik a levelet stb, ez pozitív, ha neked írnak az negatív lesz.

UPDATE 6 (06/05/2009, 7:33 PM EST): After speaking with a customer service representative at Microsoft TechNet, they have reaffirmed what we already know. First off, they still do not have an ETA on when an official statement will be released regarding this issue. Legitimate ITAC members will be getting their subscriptions re-enabled at some point in the near future, however anyone who signed up through a direct link and was not a part of ITAC will not be getting their subscriptions reinstated. Also, any product keys claimed by illigitimate subscriptions are reportedly going to be blacklisted, however this has not been finalized by management.

Mondjuk szerintem nekik is leeshetne, hogy sokan azért éltek tegnap a lehetőséggel, hogy végre legyen egy legális oprendszerük, mert venni nem tudnak, és ha most visszavonják őket, akkor a vaknál is világosabb, hogy warezt használnak tovább.. Azzal meg megint nincs előrébb az MS..
Na persze azt én is kiszűrném, aki több 10 vagy akár 100 kulcsot generált.. -

eredetileg valami kérdőívet kellett kitölteni informatikusoknak és cserébe egy éves technet előfizetés volt az ajándék. de a MS elbénázta a dolgot és a kérdőív kitöltése nélkül is lehetett regelni, és ez volt a gáz. Egyébként lehet h olyan nehéz volt az a kérdőív hogy három hónap alatt se tudták volna megoldani néhány száznál többen

Nem értem, most akkor 1 éves előfizut lehet így szerezni? Szerintem kizárt, főleg hogy szeptemberig lehessen regisztrálni. Akkor a világ összes felhasználója beregisztrálna és tönkre menne a Microsoft mert nem lenne egy vásárlója sem.
Talán max 2-3 hónapot adnak pár száz érdeklődőnek és kész.... -

UPDATE 5 (06/05/2009, 9:54 AM EST): I have spoken with Microsoft TechNet Customer Service and there is no new information at this point in time, however the agent said there may be a solid answer by tonight, so I’ll try calling again at that time. It would appear that subscriptions in the UK have completely dissapeared for most people again.

ide mindenki be tud lépni akinek van live jelszava. letölteni és kódokat kérni csak akkor tudsz ha van érvényes technet előfizetésed. ezt lehetett megszerezni tegnapelőtt ingyen. aki nem szerezte meg az lemaradt róla sajnos. aki megszerezte és letiltották, az reménykedhet, mert sokaknak -köztük nekem is - visszaállították.
