  R&D Software Verification Engineer

  Purpose:
  You will work on the Mobile Switching center Server (MSS) the network element behind billions of mobile calls every day all around the globe. Developed in Budapest, the MSS is connecting 1.5 billion people worldwide. We are focused on innovation, implementing and verifying new functionalities every day, to keep MSS on the forefront of mobile broadband technology. Yesterday it was 3G, today it is Voice over LTE, tomorrow it will be Self Organizing Networks and beyond.
  We are looking for pioneers, trailblazers, out of the box thinkers to get the job done. Our verification engineers are not only expected to make sure code errors are not released to network operators (using state of the art tools, processes) but to further revolutionize/refine the automated test suite we have built in-house. If you are ready to try yourself in this environment, read further for the requirements.

  Requirements:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in the area of computer science, information technology or telecommunication
  • 2+ years of experience in software verification
  • Experience on scripting (Bash, perl, python, ruby), simulators (Simpeer, TTCN), test automation and test management tools (e.g. Quality Center)
  • Interest and experience in different software testing techniques and methodologies (TDD, MBT)
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting/debugging techniques (gbd, gprof)
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment with international folks
  • Innovative spirit, ability to solve complex problems
  • Communication skills in English

  Advantages:
  • Telecom (SIP, SS7) and IP knowledge (TCP/UDP/STP/SCTP/NAT)
  • Have a clue about agile methodology
  • Programming experience (C/C++)
  • Linux programming knowledge
  • ISTQB certificate
