  Senior R&D Engineer, MSS/Linux

  Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities:
  Nokia Siemens Networks is the world’s specialist in mobile broadband. The R&D site in Budapest is the base for its Mobile Switching Center development, that is connecting voice calls on any radio technology from GSM, to LTE. Our global experts invent the new capabilities our customers need in their networks. We provide the world’s most efficient mobile networks, the intelligence to maximize the value of those networks, and the services to make it all work seamlessly.
  Your role as Senior MSS/Linux Engineer will be to participate in an agile, motivated and professional software development team to find and implement solutions to the upcoming requirements and issues. You will take part in the design, implementation and testing of the application platform of the market leading MSS solution, on such challenging areas, like load balancing or virtualization.

  Requirements:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification
  • Linux programming and administration (troubleshooting/debugging) experience
  • Network administration and programming experience (TCP, UDP, SCTP)
  • Shell Scripting experience (Bash , Perl)
  • Extensive programming experience on C/C++
  • Good command of English
  • 3+ years of working experience

  Advantages:
  • Experience in cloud computing (Qemu/KVM, RHEV/oVirt, Eucalyptus, OpenStack) is an advantage
  • Familiarity with load balancing
  • Familiarity with agile and scrum methodology
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
