  MFKK Invention and Research Centre Ltd is a private research organization that initiates and implements research and technology development projects funded by the EU Seventh Framework Program and national funding agencies. We invite applications for the following position:

  IT Support Technician (part-time)

  OVERVIEW

  MFKK Invention and Research Centre Services Co. Ltd. (www.mfkk.hu) brings innovative solutions to industry and the public sector to help solve business and technological challenges. We work with our clients to improve their efficiency and profitability through technological solutions in the fields of: IT, electrical & mechanical engineering, telecommunications, sensor and environmental technology translating technology into business value. Our technical team is supported by experienced project managers. We manage the innovation process starting from concept and proposal development through project coordination and after-project services.

  JOB DESCRIPTION

  Based in Budapest this is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team working on cutting-edge technological solutions.

  Responsibilities will involve:
  - Install and configure Linux based servers (rarely)
  - Maintain existing Linux servers (approx. 8 PCs)
  - Maintain Windows Server (casual)
  - Supervise printers
  - Install/reinstall/configure Windows operation system on client PCs
  - Troubleshoot problems on all PCs (servers, clients)
  - Collect quotations for new equipment
  - Offer and carry out possible improvements on the IT infrastructure
  - Find solutions to the IT related needs of the company employees
  - Keep in touch with external service providers

  Required knowledge, experience and skills:
  - Linux server installation and maintenance: 3+ years experience is required.
  - Windows XP / 7: ability to install and to solve problems
  - Knowledge of web environments (e.g. Apache/PHP/MySQL) is an advantage
  - Openness to introduce new IT technologies/solutions.
  - Ability to communicate in Hungarian and in English
  - Good communication and interpersonal skills
  - Proactive, flexible and dynamic attitude.
  - Ability to meet the deadlines. Precise and responsible manner.
  - Ability to work independently.
