Experienced Java Developer
Position Summary
As a member of the software engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementation of 3 tier Java technology solutions which support worldwide web based products and services. These services are available to and generate revenue from customers in multiple countries. The candidate will also be responsible for liaising with other developers in the US, Japan and Europe, along with external developers from third party partners.
Job Responsibilities
Became responsible for a product, including development, lifecycle management (Documenting, bug fixing, releasing)
Liaise with technical and non technical customers to produce and deliver business and technical requirements/functional specifications.
Be involved with testing solution through the use of software automation (Junit) or manual testing strategies in conjunction with the QA team.
Produce and maintain design (e.g. Object and Database diagrams), maintenance (e.g. release notes) and operational documentation (deployment instructions)
Support remote development teams and external clients in the use of the standard technology platform.
Research and recommend new technologies and best practices.
Work across boundaries with technical and non technical people in a variety of global locations (North America, Asia, Europe)
