  Infrastructure Engineer

  For our Budapest Office

  About the role:
  • We are looking for a talented engineer with a strong internet infrastructure product knowledge with Windows.

  • This global group is focused on building hosting platforms for IIS on which the business can deploy a range of applications based on differing technologies (ASP.Net, WCF) for internal as well as external clients.

  • Core web products consist of: IIS 6, IIS 7, ASP.Net and WCF web services.

  • The ideal candidate should have strong technical background in web technologies. The candidate must have experience in writing .NET (preferably ASP.NET) applications in C# and must have a good level of understanding of IIS and ASP.NET stack.

  • The candidate needs to have solid understanding of Windows operating system and TCP/IP networking. Experience in Unix Shell, Perl and Powershell/Python/batch scripting and development is helpful to integrate products into the environment. Deeper knowledge of operating system internals, application level troubleshooting and debug analysis is an advantage.

  • The individual should have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well in a globally distributed team environment. Due to the global business nature, the candidate will be required from time-to-time to collaborate with colleagues located in New York, London and Asia.

  Skills Required:
  • C# development experience

  • 3+ years of experience Developing with .NET Framework 2.0 or higher (ASP.NET)

  • Designing/Building n-tier web applications

  • IIS 6+ experience

  • Good troubleshooting skills

  Skills desired:
  • Windows sysadmin/engineering or security background/experience

  • Perl or python dynamic language experience

  • Networking (TCP) skills and good knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, SSL, DNS, FTP)

  • Experience in hosting large scale ASP.NET and WCF applications on IIS

  • Understanding of Enterprise HA via Load Balancing
