  The Legal and Compliance Data Team is looking for a
  DATA ANALYST
  For our Budapest Office

  This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Data Analyst who would like to join the financial industry and support a prestigious global business.
  With a 2011 start date the successful candidate will work with global teams responsible for developing reports from multiple global data sources. He / she will represent the data team for Europe's legal and compliance reporting needs. The candidate will have the opportunity to utilize data analysis and communication skills by liaising with internal / external vendors and defining data strategy.

  Some of the specific tasks are:
  • Responsible for data analysis, data profiling and data sourcing
  • Work with business analysts to understand data requirements
  • Work with data architects to build data models
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, sources and data integration for each subject area
  • Support business analysts and developers with data subject expertise, query building and optimization
  • Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution
  • Create functional and technical ETL specification documents
  • Develop test data and test cases for ETL testing
  • Provide support for integration testing, QA testing, and user acceptance testing
  • Provide appropriate DQ monitoring and reporting rules and periodically review the DQ reporting exceptions with data providers to improve data quality
  • Coordinate and conduct impact analysis because of upstream data changes

  Skills required:
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably DB2 and Sybase
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Excellent communication skills, advanced level of English
  • Strong analytical, profiling and troubleshooting skills

  Skills desired:
  • Informatica experience a plus
  • Knowledge of financial services data a plus
  • Experience in all phases of software development project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Autosys, Perl, shell scripts a plus
