-If you are unable to boot into Windows 2000 or Windows XP:
Restart Windows 2000 or Windows XP in Recovery Console mode.

Note: Recovery Console mode requires the use of the Windows 2000 or Windows XP setup disks.

In Recovery Console, type disable imgatapi to disable the Imgatapi service.

Type enable atapi SERVICE_BOOT_START to enable the ATAPI service.

    Restart your computer.

Note: If you disable the Imgatapi service but do not enable the ATAPI service, you will receive a ''Stop 0x0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE'' error message.

-If you are still experiencing problems booting into your system, please use the following steps.

Note: You will need a Windows 2000 or Windows XP setup disks to perform the following steps. You must do the steps in the order that they are listed.

Boot the computer from the setup disks with the installation CD in your CD-ROM drive.

From the three options listed, press the Enter key to set up Windows 2000/XP.

Press the F8 key to agree to the license agreement.

Once the system detects a previous installation of Windows 2000, you will need to press the R key to repair Windows. This will recopy all Windows files and leave the system in exactly the same state it was in prior to the boot problem.

Reinstall any Windows 2000 or Windows XP service packs that you previously had installed.
