  Just a ffedback for you all,

  With version 0.11.2 and kernel 0.3.6 or 0.2.6 the GPS is really bad, not usable. Fixing working well but it's really bad with tracking in Google Maps.

  I installed back the stock rom 0.7.3 and i must say that the GPS even though is not perfect is working very well also with Google Maps, this is the best firmware with GPS i tried so far.

  Maybe this can be useful in order to create a mix kernel/firmware that finally have a good GPS/Navigation working system.

  With 0.7.3 the battery life seems to be worse, this is the downside.

  Does anybody have the link for the stock firmware v0.7.4 ?
  I believe that one was the best for GPS but had battery bug, i'm willing to test again and try swap just the kernel to see if the GPS keep working fine and the battery bug get fixed.

  O.11.2 with 0.2.6 kernel swap.
  GPS fixing but not working with navigator Google Maps, tracking is pretty bad.

  Hello poffsoft,
  ok i will try to install the 0.2.6 Kernel and see what happens.
  To swap the kernel, it is enough to install the .zip package with the CWM or do i need also to copy the boot.img file.
  If the boot.img file is needed as well could you please tell me exactly how to do so?

  thanks for your help.
  So you are suggesting me to install the 0.2.6 exchangable kernel that cappa72 prepared, right?
  Is the 0.2.6 working well also for the GPS?
  From my experience the 0.7.4 (which i had stock when i purchased the phone) was working very well with the GPS/Google Maps tracking navigator but the problem was the battery bug.

  It would be great is we could find the good GPS of the 0.7.4 but without the battery bug that was resolved with the following formware versions.

  Bad:

  Put on charge the phone for the night and it froze on black screen and LED green.
  Had to take the battery put to restart it.

  A feedback from my side on the G2FW-custom_from_TD_HD_R-V0.11.2-w036kernel:

  Good:
  - Battery life is good, no problems
  - no overheating

  Bad
  - GPS (after the mtk usual engineering mode fisrt configuration for my country) it fix in a few seconds with accuracy of 2/3mt when outside BUT with Google Maps (several versions tried) it gets often lost when traking in navigation mode.
  - 3G/UMTS seems to be ok even thou it swithces often between 3G and H+ or G, i believe this is because the BandMode cannot be edited and configured for the real GSM frequencies used in my country. (vodafone Italy)

  Ok so the kernel i've got is correct, then take my info about the BandMode as something to be eventually checked on.
  With the previous version i had of the firmware (it was your 0.8.5 Rom) version it was possible to configure the band mode in order to select only the GSM/UMTS frequency used in europe/Italy which are only few instead of the 12 possible.

  Selecting only the real one used by the country it makes the 3G connection more stable.

  With the last 0.11.2 the Band Mode settings in MobileUncle Tool gives the error com.android.phone interrupted process.

  Would you have any idea of whast it could be caused of? As i mentioned before with the other firmware version 0.8.5 it was working.

  Hello cappa72, i have installed your version ROM V.0.11.2 with the 0.3.6 Kernel on my G2FW but my Kernel version didn't change.
  Now i have your build version G2F-20140225-TD_HD_R-V0.11.2 but with Kernel V.3.4.5.

  I also before tried to reinstall with Flashtool the stock rom 0.3.6 but yet the Kernel Version did not change.

  I would like to test your version and give you a feedback but i need help to know how to update just the Kernel version from 3.4.5 to 0.3.6.

  One thing i noticed with the Kernel 3.4.5 and your rom 0.11.2 is that if i go in mobileuncle tools to configure the BandMode i get an error which make it not possible.

  Before, with the previous ROm i had i could configure the BandMode to mate the 3G work better for the frequencies used in Italy.

  Can you configure the bandmode in Kernel 0.3.6? Would you know how to fix the problem keeping my kernel 3.4.5?

  I attach a screenshot of my G2F information, please let me know if you need any more detail and also how can i help you to test.
