  In order to help us with the future challenges of our growing organization, we are now looking for a talented and energetic individual in the role of:

  MSSQL Server Database Administrator

  Successful candidate will be a highly competent and highly motivated individual, responsible for providing operational database services to the organization

  SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  As a production DBA, this role requires a high commitment to internal customers. Primary responsibilities of this role would include:
  • Owning, tracking and resolving database-related incidents and requests.
  • Fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Reviewing service-related monitoring (e.g: database backups, maintenance, performance) daily to ensure service-related issues are resolved within established SLAs.
  • Responding to database-related alerts and escalations and working with other teams (infrastructure, network, applications, etc) to develop strategic solutions to recurring problems.
  • Designing and implementing database solutions utilizing the common toolset provided with SQL Server (TSQL, SSIS, SSAS,
  • Evaluating / auditing systems for adherence to SQL Server best practices and internal policies.
  • Drafting internal procedures.

  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server.
  • Fluent in English, Good communication skills, Customer focused, self motivated
  • 7+ years of experience with MSSQL Server database administration with significant time on SQL Server 2012.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts.
  • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
  • Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations.
