    For our Budapest Office

    The Market Modeling Team supports Morgan Stanley's securities trading business by creating mathematical models and software tools to predict the future evolution of different markets and price and risk-manage various financial products. Commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) is one of the businesses supported by Budapest Market Modeling, and we are currently looking to expand our activities in this area by establishing a CBMS Analytics team. The main goal of the new team is to help the CMBS trading desk with model implementation and model integration tasks; hence, these positions will provide an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the mathematical models and software technologies used in the CMBS business.

    We currently have two openings on the CBMS Analytics team, and are looking for candidates with the following profile:

    Responsibilities:

    • Work on model implementation and model integration tasks defined by CMBS Desk Strategists
    • Acquire necessary business knowledge to complete the tasks
    • Be open to learn and apply new technologies and programming languages

    Skills required:

    • M.Sc. in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or similar quantitative area. Ph.D. is a plus
    • At least 2 years of programming experience in C++
    • Experience in C# is a plus
    • Experience with databases is a plus
    • Comfortable working in a Linux-based development environment
    • Affinity towards mathematics
    • Confident command of English
    • Ability to understand all aspects of a multicultural environment
