NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 expected to feature 2304 CUDA cores

The RTX 3050 is expected to feature GA107-300 GPU with 2304 CUDA cores. Such a number of cores would be a significant upgrade over GeForce RTX 1650 (896 CUDAs) and GTX 1650 SUPER (1280 CUDAs). However, it is important to note that NVIDIA doubled the number of cores per Streaming Multiprocessors, not necessarily doubling the performance in the process.

The memory configuration of RTX 3050 non-Ti is currently unknown, but XX107 GPUs are usually offered with a 128-bit memory bus, hence 4GB GDDR6 memory is to be expected.

The NVIDIA GA106 GPU will compete directly with AMD Navi 22, the upcoming mid-range processors also expected to debut early next year. According to our sources, AMD will launch the first Navi 22 products under Radeon RX 6700 series. The processor would feature up to 40 CUs and 192-bit memory bus. Thus, the RX 6700 XT might feature the exact same core count as the RX 5700 XT, 40 CUs (2560 SPs). However, unlike Navi 10, the Navi 22 GPU would feature a 192-bit memory bus.

NVIDIA is rumored to launch GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in December, with RTX 3060, RTX 3050 Ti, and RTX 3050 expected to follow early next year (the dates are not set, but we are hearing January and February).
