Your daily tasks on the job
As a senior back-end developer, you are someone who has many years of experience in delivering highly performant, highly maintainable, well-architected websites.
You have previous experience of working with project managers, UX and UI designers, and other developers, organising code, and providing leadership and mentoring to junior members of the team.
You will be working on cloud-based projects, where an understanding of cloud concepts and tools is important, especially Azure or similar.
Implementing and writing code
•Understand and practice Design Patterns, Clean coding, and SOLID architectures
•Organise and write code logically, ensure the code Is timeless and maintainable
•Understand both front and back-end technologies
•Be able to pick up new technologies quickly and confidently
•Able to break down projects into tasks and use a task board to plan a project
•Find and fix bugs in legacy code and refactor code to perform better
Team Mentoring
•Pass on knowledge to the rest of the team
•Be responsible for the code quality of the team, by verifying, validating, suggesting better ways of writing code
•Assist junior team members
Technology
•Excellent knowledge of .NET framework, .NET core ideally at least one front-end framework (Vue/React/Angular) - but not essential
•Database systems, including MSSQL
•Task management systems like Jira
•Previous experience with Umbraco/Kentico/Episerver is strongly desirable
Education
Bachelor of computer science (BCS) - desirable, but not essential
Language skills
Hungarian, English
