  We are looking for a

  Senior Reference Data – Developer / Engineer

  For our Budapest Office

  The MS Reference Data group in Enterprise Data Group is responsible for engineering and deploying solutions that source, host and distribute enterprise level reference data for Morgan Stanley internal business processes. The main products are directory services, identity management, roles, organizational reference data and MS legal entity data. The group partners with and services many business units within the firm globally. (e.g. Institutional business, Retail business, Investment management…etc)

  We are looking to fill a developer position responsible for implementing, maintaining and architecting people data management systems. Activities the candidate will be responsible for:
  • Development and deployment of identity data management systems (database design & implementation)
  • Requirement gathering, design, code development, testing, deployment of the product
  • Develop scripts to automate administration and management of the environment
  • 3rd level production support and enhancement of developed product
  • Product documentation

  Skills Required
  Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with database design and integration, relational or LDAP
  • Strong data synchronization experience
  • Strong programming skills in PERL
  • Some SOAP/XML/CGI programming experience
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and client/server architecture
  • Some UNIX administration background
  • Experience in designing Highly Available systems

  Professional Skills
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience
  • Strong trouble shooting/problem solving capability
  • Self starter, motivated and can work unsupervised
  • Structured, organized approach to project and able to set and meet delivery date
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Understand and carried through full production cycle of a product including requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, production turnover, documentation and post- production support.
  • Able to work in a fast changing environment and working under pressure

  Skills Desired
  • Understanding of LDAP or directory server infrastructure, have written applications to update or query LDAP
  • Experience with Meta Directory technology such as Critical Path Meta Directory Server
  • Have administrated or deployed LDAP directory infrastructure
  • C, C++, VB
  • Experience of web server installation
  • Understanding Microsoft Active Directory
