Linuxon kipróbáltam jópár diskrecovery programot, míg ráakadtam egy testdisk nevű alkalmazásra, ami helyre állította a Master Boot Record-ot, visszaírta bele az eredeti Vista Loadert, Linux nélkül...
újraindítás után Vista megy, Grub elérhetetlen, ergo Linux indíthatatlan
ezután EasyBCD
(EasyBCD-vel végülis jó lett.. először nem akart működni, mert elfelejtettem bejelölni, hogy a grub nincs az MBR-ben, de azután hibátlanul bebootolta mindkét rendszert)

Csinált -e már vki ilyet? Ez okoz-e vmi hibát ha késöbb letörölném... stb...

Helyzetjelentés: 8.5-ös Catalyst legalább már fglrxinfo-t ad, de az fgl_glxgears ill. minden egyéb 3D-s alkalmazásnál menthetetlenül lefagy a rendszer
Hibanaplókban semmi.Elkezdtem inkább a xorg-os radeon driver telepítését, de itt meg egy dri2proto nevű csomagocskából kellene >=1.99-es csomag, azonban eddig csak 1.1-es verziót találtam

az egész rendszer lefagy, vagy "csak" a grafikus rész? egy teszt erejéig egy másik gépet nem tudsz vele hálózatba kötni? ha tudsz, és onnan be is tudsz lépni, akkor sok okosság kiderülhet. mondjuk ha ennyire le van szűkítve, hogy a catalist a bűnös, akkor nem sokat segít.

Hát igen nem egy könnyűsúlyú versenyző, de felment, egészen gyorsan behozza indításkor, és a merevlemezen is elfért utána pedig inkább a fluxbox configjával foglalkoztam

,de mikor elszált a csinos grafikus felületem ( az volt nekem is az első találkozásom a csak parancssorral ), akkor a két linkelt doksi segítségével sikeresen módosítottam a xorg.conf-t... Szóval furcsaságaival együtt - a vi -, mivel segített a bajban, numero egyes szövegszerkesztővé lépett elő szívemben
Mindazonáltal valószínűleg igazad van, én is néztem nagyokat az elején, mikor sok sípolással közölte, hogy nagyon mást csinálok mint kéne

Nem ismerem a virtualbox-ot de azért ebbe is beledumálok
qemu tud olyat, hogy miután kész vagy a telepítéssel, az összes írási műveletet egy ideiglenes fájlba csinál. Vagyis minden indításnál a frissen telepített rendszered indul (ami ugye még garantáltan vírusmentes). Olyan mintha ghost-al mindig visszaállítanál egy ismert tiszta állapotot. Persze így nem lehet semmit módosítani, mert a legközelebbi indításra elfelejti - de netbankhoz szerintem jó, feltéve, ha a virtualbox is támogat valami hasonlót. Legrosszabb esetben gondolom "kézzel" el lehet menteni és minden futás előtt visszaállítani.

íhát köszönöm,de nem volt ilyen nagy a baj,mint az kiderült. Ugyanis (bár ezt az elejétől sejtettem) kiderült hogy bizony van hang,csak nem a hangszórón hanem a fülesen. Úgy látszik alapból nem tud az Ubuntu megbírkózni azzal a ténnyel hogy két hangkeltő eszköz is csatlakoztatva van.

Szerezz valami használtat akár. Itt sokat kínálnak.
De tényleg nem véletlenül mondtam amit. A merevlemezedet úgy tekintsd, hogy nem 270 nap az élettartama, hanem a következő fontos eseménynél fog kinyiffani. Így szokott lenni.

ez az egyszeres & pont nem jó. két && kellene szerintem.
az eredeti kérdésre válaszolva meg megnézném, hogy minden környezeti változó ugyanúgy van-e beállítva, amikor automatikusan indul a cucc, mintha kézzel.

Sajnos nem valami jó az angol tudásom. Ez a cikk arról szól, hogy lesz hardveres vga-gyorsítás atin linux alatt? Mert pont ma gondolkoztam arról, hogy mi lesz majd 1-2 év múlva, mikor már (valószínűleg) alig kapni nvidia vga-t. Aki új gépet rak össze/vesz, le kell mondania a compiz csilli-villiről? Ha atin menne az uvd2 az jó lenne.

Hát annyi talán nincs.
Egyébként tök fájdalommentes volt a driver telepítése.
Igaz először felment az akmod csomag, hogy majd csinál nekem modult. Nem csinált. Felment a modul azóta direkt renderel.
Jó még a selinux nyafogott egy sort, de lebeszéltem róla.Egy villámösszehasonlítás:

,de mikor elszált a csinos grafikus felületem ( az volt nekem is az első találkozásom a csak parancssorral ), akkor a két linkelt doksi segítségével sikeresen módosítottam a xorg.conf-t... Szóval furcsaságaival együtt - a vi -, mivel segített a bajban, numero egyes szövegszerkesztővé lépett elő szívemben
