    Desktop Support Specialist

    You will be asked to do the following tasks:
    • Provide second-level customer care operations by monitoring or assisting users
    • Develop skills in basic practices and procedures in one skill area through formal training (limited to support area)
    • Apply basic technical skills together with business knowledge to own work; handle a single task
    • Respond to standard customer requests, where customers may be internal or external and deliver concrete and easy to implement solutions
    • Apply existing requirements and instructions to solve routine problems
    • Organize own time to deliver against tasks set by others
    • Work cooperatively with others and build working relationships within own team

    You will have to have the following experience:
    • A minimum of 1 year recent experience of working in work station support
    • Good communication skills
    • Build working relationships within own team, have a basic understanding of the relationships between practical work processes and the business within own team
    • Ask questions, check for understanding, provide explanation clearly and precisely
    • Use learning opportunities provided
    • Good working knowledge of MSWindows Server 2008 and Active Directory
    • Knowledge of WINXP,WIN7, Office 2007-2010-2013
    • Hardware knowledge of PCs and printers
    • Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies
